Background and Content

Global Low-carbon Metallurgy Innovation Forum 2023 and 12th China International Steel Congress, organized by China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) and China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited will be held in Shanghai on 15 October 2023. Themed “Green Steel, Green Growth”, the conference will bring leaders and experts of the world steel industry together, to speak on the theme and share their insights on the development of steel.

In 2021, China Baowu initiated the establishment of the Global Low-Carbon Metallurgy Innovation Alliance, which has successfully held the Global Low-carbon Metallurgy Innovation Forum for two times. The alliance aims to work together with industrial associations, steel companies, R&D and design institutes, colleges and universities, and upstream and downstream partners in the industrial chain, to pool wisdom to jointly establish a sharing and exchange platform, and to create a green and low-carbon ecosystem of the steel industry.

China International Steel Congress is a biennial high-level conference focusing on the profound, overall and strategic issues of development of the steel industry. Since its establishment in 2000, the congress has been successfully held for eleven times and enjoys an esteemed reputation globally.

Note on attendance:
The General Assembly is open to delegates from worldsteel member organizations. The event venue does have a limited capacity and registration will be based on a first come, first served basis.

Conference Language

The official languages of the conference are Chinese and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided during the conference.
 

Registration and Registration Fee

Delegates attending the congress should pay the registration fee of US$500. The fee is inclusive of documentation, translation, conference venues, refreshments, lunches and dinners, etc. It does not include the cost of accommodation.
The deadline for registration will be 28 September 2023. Payment must be made at the time of registration.
No refund will be given on cancellations, although delegate substitutions or keeping quota to the next congress will be accepted.
